MPA are the new sponsor for Earlswood Cricket Club

MPA are delighted to announce that they will be sponsoring Earlswood Cricket Club for the 2017 and 2018 seasons as their main club sponsor. Our company logo will appear on the match shirts for all 22 teams in the Senior, Women’s and Junior sections. MPA are delighted to be associated with such a successful local club.

Neil Thorne from ECC said, “The club has some significant outlays this year with more work to be carried out on drainage and clubhouse improvements plus the ongoing costs of renting two other grounds for matches. Without invaluable input like this we would undoubtedly have to curtail our cricket program. The MPA sponsorship will enable that program to be maintained and improved and the club is very grateful for the support.”

Earlswood Cricket Club was founded in 1876 and is based on watery Lane in Earlswood. The club runs five Saturday senior teams with the 1s and 2s competing in the Warwickshire League. They also introduced a Womens section in 2014 which in 2017 made their debut in the West Midlands Women’s Cricket League. They have over 120 juniors attend training sessions weekly and they compete in various leagues from u9s all the way to U19s for both boys and girls. One of the stars of ECC is Marie Kelly who is the Warwickshire Bears Womens captain and played for Loughborough Lightening in the Womens Twenty 20 Bash last season and is currently plying her trade in Australia.

Phil McGovern has been a long standing member of ECC and is passionate about cricket and the club and local sport and is currently Chairman of the club. The sponsorship is a great opportunity for MPA to show support for local sports teams in the community. We would like to wish the club all the best for the up and coming cricket season!
