In January we welcomed Independent Financial Adviser (IFA), Gerard McVeigh to MPA, to further strengthen our team providing financial planning and wealth management advice.

The primary focus of his new role is to help clients achieve their short, medium and long-term financial goals. Gerard strives to accomplish this by taking the time to truly understand his clients, their values and their aspirations.

Gerard joins MPA after successfully completing the M&G Wealth Academy, following which he spent a period running his own Warwickshire-based Appointed Representative business, on a restricted advice basis. He recently earned his Level 4 Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning, awarded by the Chartered Insurance Institute.

Before joining the world of wealth management and financial advice, Gerard founded and managed a recruitment technology business for nearly a decade, working with key regional and global leaders within the Commercial Real Estate industry.

From his very first conversations with Phil, Joe, and Annemarie, it was evident that clients were at the heart of everything at MPA. Reporting to Head of Advice, Joe McGovern, Gerard joins the expanding team of advisers responsible for managing over £800m in investments on behalf of MPA’s clients. Joe commented: “We’re really pleased to welcome Gerard to our growing team. He takes pride in simplifying the advice process and aims to build intergenerational, long-lasting relationships with all the people he advises. This mixed, with his commercial acumen from running his own business makes him an ideal fit for the MPA team.”

Outside of work, Gerard has a young family which keeps his evenings and weekends lively. He is also a keen sports fan and enjoys watching and playing most sports. Often, he can be found on the tennis court representing Warwick Boat Club.
