The MPA Charitable Foundation were approached by Sue Sargent from Claverdon Playground seeking sponsorship from local companies to help buy equipment for the refurbishment of the existing playground.
The playground has been enjoyed by local children, grandchildren and visiting friends and families for many years. Unfortunately, in recent years a number of unsafe items have had to be removed and the remaining items are very worn and also in need of repair.

After our kind donation, Sue has kindly provided us with an update;
“It has been a challenging few months for everyone, and I very much hope that everything is well with you.
Over this time I am very pleased to say that we have made progress with Claverdon’s new playground and the full order for the equipment has now been placed.
As planned, it will have three key areas: pre-school; older children (primary school age); and one for outdoor fitness. In total we have 14 different pieces of equipment – take a look at the playground website: www.claverdonplayground.org
Thank you so very much for the support of MPA Financial Management – we are immensely grateful. It simply would not have been possible without you, and other such supporters in the local area.
The playground provider, Kompan, is scheduled to start work on the site at the end of June. It is thought that the build will take approximately four weeks to complete and then time will given for the matting and turf to settle and grow before it is used.
We will be taking regular photographs of the new playground being built, so keep an eye on the website: www.claverdonplayground.org/news, follow us on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/claverdonplayground or pop down and take a look!
Due to COVID-19 restrictions it is not yet known when we will be able to open the new playground and we will be keeping abreast of the Government’s advice.
The team of volunteers is thrilled to have reached this stage, and the new playground will be a very special edition to the village”
What a great way to end the week – have a great weekend everyone!
