The MPA Charitable Foundation have been in contact with The Graham Fulford Charitable Trust who have agreed to host a Prostrate Cancer Screening clinic at our MPA office in Henley in Arden.  The cost of the test for each individual is to be covered by the MPA Charitable Foundation – Free of charge! – and we are offering the test to all men aged 40 and over within Henley-in-Arden and the local areas.

The Graham Fulford Charitable Trust (GFCT) was set up by Graham Fulford to promote awareness of Prostate Cancer following the diagnosis of a close friend who died at the age of 58 and a close family member who died in 2007 with prostate cancer after a valiant fight.   Since 2004, together with their partners, GFCT have been involved in testing over 95,000 men and conducting over 132,000 tests so far [October 16th 2019].    Consequently, there has been over 1765 known cancers identified that otherwise may not have been discovered.

The PSA Test is being offered to all men aged 40 and over and is a blood test which can detect the early signs of prostrate cancer.  The test measures the level of PSA (prostrate-specific antigen) in your blood.    PSA is made by the prostrate gland.  Some of it will leak into your blood, and the amount depends on your age and the health of your prostrate.
