MPA has been able to support a breakfast club in a school local to our Independent Financial Adviser (IFA), David McGovern, with the donation of a fridge – making the first meal of the day possible for many children.
According to the Child Poverty Action Group, 4.3 million children are growing up in poverty in the UK and 9 children in an average classroom of 30 (30%) are living in poverty.
The small gesture from MPA made a big difference to the Yatton School community in Bristol, enabling them to provide breakfasts and snacks from the newly designed wellbeing room.
A spokesperson from the school sent a letter of thanks, saying: “I wanted to email you to say a big thank you for the donation of the fridge to Yatton School. This will make a big difference in so many ways to so many children.
“I am sure Dave told you about the wellbeing room we have designed. The fridge was a necessity in order to provide breakfast for children whose families haven’t the funds to provide them with one before school. We will also provide breakfast and snacks for children who require this due to anxiety, additional energy or any further needs. Thank you so much for your help and support.”
