The MPA team rallied together with baked goods and tasty treats the morning after a huge storm hit Henley-in-Arden to raise funds for MacMillan Cancer Support.

With a collection of home-made carrot and coffee cake, savoury samosas and brought in bakes, there was a something for everyone. The whole team donated in return for a slice of their favourite delicacy, raising almost £190 as part of the annual MacMillan Coffee Morning.

The Macmillan Coffee Morning is MacMillan Cancer Support’s biggest annual fundraising event to support people living with cancer. Since 1990, Coffee Morning has brought together millions of people from across the UK to have fun and raise money for a good cause. In 2023, Coffee Morning raised over £18 million nationally.

Coffee Morning’s come in all shapes and sizes. From small home gatherings to large corporate events; school fundraisers to a gathering with a local community group. They all have one thing in common, raising vital funds to support the more than 3 million people in the UK living with cancer.

Liz Allan, Receptionist at MPA organised the gathering and shared thanks with the team saying: “The Macmillan Coffee morning went down a storm as usual, followed by a stormy evening in Henley-in-Arden.  The food provided by everyone was, as always, delicious. Thank you all for your contributions and a successful day.”

Macmillan Cancer Support is 98% funded by voluntary donations, so every donation received is vital in helping people living with cancer find their best way through, from the moment they’re diagnosed, through treatment and beyond.
