On Wednesday this week, all the staff at MPA threw Phil a surprise 25th anniversary gathering at the MPA Offices – What a fantastic afternoon!
With a few weeks of planning and secret conversations with Emma, his lovely wife, we managed to organise food, drinks, balloons, decorations and staff to arrive at the office (once a negative COVID test was recorded) on Wednesday, with Phil completely oblivious – and if anyone knows Phil, you will understand how difficult that is!
We specifically chose the day of the Board Meeting to distract Phil in the morning to allow the staff to get to work. Once the meeting had finished, Phil was called into the main reception where he was met with a huge round of applause – I am not sure I have ever seen Phil lost for words!
Phil joined MPA on the 28th June 1996 and since that day the Company has gone from strength to strength;
“Its been a right rollercoaster these past 25 years and it has flown by in an instant. Joe was only 2 when I joined MPA and Anna wasn’t even born and I had more hair, less lines on my face and was considerably lighter.
I’ve worked with some tremendous people over that time and the current group are one of the nicest bunch of people I have worked with in my career. It makes such a difference when you spend as much time with colleagues, as we all do, that you get on with – It makes life so much more enjoyable.
I want to say special thanks to Eddie who I have known for probably 28 years and the 12 or so years he has worked at MPA. He has always been supportive of what I am trying to do and has been integral to what MPA have achieved over the last 11 years. Thank you my friend I couldn’t have done it without you.
Anyway, onwards and upwards as we move on towards the £1 billion Funds under management goal”
CONGRATULATIONS from everyone at MPA – Here’s to the next 25 years, we are behind you every step of the way!
